Why "Happy Holidays" is not a "War on Christmas."
Which is why we should all buy something with this on it.
Heh, my poor friend sent me one of those forwarded-a-million-times emails that said "It's a Christmas tree, not a Hanakkah bush, not a Allah plant, not a Ramadan Tree. So Merry Christmas, keep the Christ in Christmas" etc., you get the point. Well, this was a day after I saw that "Hanakkah Came First" stuff, so I kind of went off on her about it. Because, yes, keep the Christ in Christmas, but hey, could we acknowledge that not everyone is a Christian too? This blog does a good job of saying that too.
And yes, I do rely on other blogs to say what I'm thinking, so what? Once I find a link to someone explaining why that is a good thing, I'll let you know. ;-)
(Oh, and my friend's reply was, "I only forwarded it; I didn't write it." Well that makes it OK then.)
